How does Merino protect customer information?

When you place an order with Merino through the web site, your information is transmitted over a secure server. Your online transactions with Merino automatically take place on a secure server (2Day.Com). All information is encrypted before it is transmitted using SSL technology as authenticated via Verisign. Once your credit card is processed we do not retain your credit card number, an added measure of security for your credit information.

What information is being collected?

When you browse the Merino web site you do so anonymously. When you order we need to know your name, email address, mailing address, credit card number and expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of your order status.

We do not collect personal or business information on Merino visitors unless it is voluntarily provided. Merino, to gain a better understanding of products and the services our customers are interested in, may use any information collected from you with your permission. We use this information to help us serve you better.

What about the privacy of my personal information? Will the information be sold to third parties?

We will not sell, trade, rent, or give individually identifying information to third parties without your permission. Merino uses the personal information collected from you in the order process to help us deliver your order, to contact you about your order if we have questions, and to improve our site to serve you better.

We do not sell, disclose or give away any customer details.

Our web server is digitally encrypted and uses the same security levels as banks. To purchase on our website your browser needs to accept cookies. This protects you and us from internet fraud. If you need more information go to your browser HELP menu and type in 'cookies'.

Will I receive unsolicited e-mail from Merino?

Merino will send e-mail confirmation of all orders to our customers. From time to time we may contact our customers by e-mail with a newsletter and information about updates to our site. If you would like to receive e-mail updates from us, please check the appropriate box on the order form.

If you prefer not to order online you may order by phone, 64-3-353-7681 from 9.00 AM to 5:00 PM (UTC-12), Monday through Friday. After these hours, please leave us a message and we will phone you the next business day to take your order and answer your questions. Guarantee

We GUARANTEE that if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase or change your mind, we will refund the full cost of the goods (excluding your return postal costs) when returned to us, within 14 days of receipt, in their original condition and packaging. Of course if goods are faulty we will offer a total refund on the cost of the goods and reimburse your postage costs. We can under no circumstances refund local import taxes or customs duty charges. We have been in business for 25 years posting goods overseas and our website has been operating since 1998 with lots of praise and without any problems.

Please note: you may be liable for customs duties, import charges and taxes in your own country when the order arrives.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our products that appear at the website. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be accurate.
