| Share the secret of Merino Lanolin Skin Care...Have you ever held hands with a sheep shearer? They're as soft as a newborn baby. Because the wool they handle all day is full of nourishing lanolin.
Lanolin is the natural oil in sheep's wool. And New Zealand's rugged South Island high country is home to the Merino sheep – which produces the world's most sought-after natural fibre, as well as nature's finest moisturising and protective barrier – lanolin.
Every year, skilled shearers 'harvest' this wool by carefully clipping it from the Merino sheep – much as milk might be 'harvested' from cows or honey 'harvested' from bees. The lanolin oil is then extracted from the wool, refined, and used as the foundation for our unique range of skin care.
